Product Description

The G308C000 model is one of the G3 Series HMIs produced by Red Lion, with an 8.4" VGA display and touchscreen. The model is only rated for indoor applications, has a textured finish, and also seven embossed programmable keys. Prior to the operation of the G308C000 operator interface terminal, there will be no configuration, all of the configurations will be done through the Crimson software, please note that a version of 2.0 or greater is required to ensure that the terminal is entirely up to date. The Crimson software will be configured through the CompactFlash card, RS232 PGM, or USB port. The RS232 PGM will use a programming cable to connect the DB9 COM port of the user’s chosen computer. 

The battery associated with this model is a lithium coin cell to keep time for the G308C000 operator interface terminal even when the device has been powered off. The accuracy of the timekeeping is normally less than one minute per month drift. The battery on this unit does not affect the memory as all of the associated data and configuration are kept in the non-volatile flash memory for which there are eight megabytes of this memory type. Please refer to the Model G308C Interface Operator Terminal G308-F Instruction Manual for more information on how to safely operate this unit to make sure that all parts are operating together correctly. 

Three LEDs are available on the front panel to indicate how the G308C000 is functioning. There are three LED colors which are red, yellow, and green, the red is at the top and labeled as the power LED. There are only two available indications for the green LED which are steady and flashing, if the green LED is flashing then the associated tag on the device is in an alarm state. A flashing LED will indicate that there are no alarms present and that a valid configuration has been properly loaded on the unit.
